While Trump's inspiring display of resilience is fresh in our minds, let's also remember a similar display of courage by the unfairly maligned Volodymyr Zelensky.
Two days into the massive invasion of February 24, 2022, the expectation around the world was that the fall of Ukraine was imminent. Zelensky was offered a chance to evacuate when Russian forces were converging on the capital city of Kyiv and he famously said, "The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride." In fact, Zelensky has been the target of multiple assassination attempts directed by a determined enemy who is generally successful in murdering people.
Both men stand for good causes, both have shown great courage, and both deserve our appreciation and our prayers.
